Equipment Structure

The system comprises multiple sets of evaporators and separators (one per effect), a condenser, and a suite of pumps for internal circulation and inter-effect transfer. It is supported by a central vacuum and drainage system, a steam distribution header, an operational platform, and a dedicated control cabinet for electrical and instrumentation functions. All components are interconnected via a complete network of pipelines and valves.

Working Principle

The forced circulation evaporator operates on the principle of using a circulation pump to drive the solution unidirectionally through the heating tubes at a high velocity (typically 2–5 m/s), thereby facilitating the processes of evaporation, concentration, or crystallization.

Solution circulation within the system is driven entirely by external mechanical power, generating a forced flow with speeds typically ranging from 1.5 to 3.5 m/s. This high-velocity flow results in enhanced heat transfer efficiency and significantly greater production capacity.

In operation, the feed liquid is drawn by the circulation pump from the conical bottom of the separator and pumped upward through the heating chamber tubes. The heated mixture of vapor and liquid mist then enters the evaporation chamber, where vapor is separated and discharged from the top. The remaining liquid is deflected, falls back to the conical bottom, and is recirculated through the heating tubes by the pump, completing a continuous cycle.

For crystallization applications, the system allows precise adjustment of the circulation flow rate. Coupled with a specially designed separator, it enables control over crystal growth, yielding crystals of the desired size and quality.

Scope of Application

 

◆ Forced circulation evaporators-including single-effect, double-effect, triple-effect, and multi-effect designs-are suitable for low-temperature concentration. They are particularly well-suited for processing materials with high concentration, high viscosity, or insoluble solids, and are widely used in industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, bioengineering, environmental protection, and waste liquid recovery.
