Types of Reactor
Batch Reactor
A batch reactor is a closed, non-continuous reactor where all reactants are added at the beginning and mixed thoroughly by an agitator. It is highly flexible and commonly used for producing multiple products and studying liquid-phase reaction kinetics in laboratories.
Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR)
A CSTR is a continuous reactor with an agitator that continuously mixes reactants while products flow out steadily. Its main advantage is the ability to operate continuously for long periods and produce large amounts of products in industries.
Plug Flow Reactor (PFR)
