Working Principle
Under vacuum conditions, material is continuously drawn from the storage tank and heated via the primary tube heat exchanger. The material is then circulated between this primary exchanger and the evaporation chamber by thermal action.
The resulting secondary steam enters the shell side of the secondary heat exchanger through the vacuum line, where it heats the material inside the secondary shell.
Any uncondensed primary secondary steam, along with the secondary steam generated in the second stage, continues to be concentrated in the condenser until the target density is achieved.
The dual-effect concentrator extracts a portion of the secondary steam from the first effect, mixes it with depressurized and cooled saturated steam, then reheats and pressurizes the mixture before reusing it as the heat source for the first effect. This process further enhances energy efficiency.

The evaporation process employs a negative-pressure external heating natural circulation method, delivering fast evaporation speed and a high concentration ratio of up to 1.1–1.3 (based on typical Chinese herbal extract applications).

The dual-effect evaporation system reuses secondary steam, reducing overall energy consumption by 40% compared to single-effect concentrators, and achieving full investment recovery through annual energy savings.
