A triple-effect falling film evaporator is a highly efficient multi-stage evaporation device, primarily used for concentrating solutions or treating wastewater. Its working principle is based on multi-stage evaporation and heat energy reuse. By connecting three evaporators (effects) in series, the steam heat energy is utilized stage by stage, significantly improving energy efficiency.
First-effect evaporation: The feed liquid first enters the first-effect evaporator, forming a thin film inside the heating tubes, indirectly exchanging heat with external heating steam (usually live steam). After heating, some water evaporates, and the resulting secondary steam enters the second effect as a heat source.
Second-effect evaporation: The secondary steam from the first effect enters the second-effect heating chamber, reheating the solution within. At this point, the operating pressure in the second effect is lower than in the first effect, resulting in a lower boiling point and evaporation at a lower temperature. The resulting secondary steam enters the third effect.
Third-effect evaporation: The secondary steam from the second effect serves as the heat source for the third effect, also evaporating the solution under negative pressure. The final concentrated liquid is discharged from the bottom of the third effect, and the secondary steam from the last effect enters the condenser for condensation.
